Thanks for the informative tutorial videos you do. Love to watch and learn.
ReplyDeleteLoved learning a new project with this great new ruffle yarn. Am out to buy the yarn now.

It appears that the purl side is the side with the ruffle. Knit side is on the inside of the purse. Is this correct? Appreciate hearing an answer....Thanks & Happy New Year......Patti
ReplyDeleteHi Patti! Yes, that is correct. Once you have the purse done, you will turn the ruffles to the outside.
DeleteWhat did I do wrong? One ball is not enough for me to finish the bag.
DeleteWe don't think you are doing anything wrong. Some people have been able to make the purse just out of one skein, but most need two. We have edited the instructions to state 2 skeins are needed for the purse.
DeleteHow do you do the lining?
ReplyDeleteThanks....Robin
Use fabric and firm interfacing to sew to shape. You can add plastic to hold the shape of the bag.
DeleteI am new to the knitting world. I understood everything in your video until the end where you didn't show the bind off. I ended up with an open seam am I supposed to sew it closed on the side. Sorry if this is a silly question, but I was left perplexed. Many thanks for this lovely pattern. Take good care.
ReplyDeleteYou can watch Milly's Cast Off video on our YouTube channel to bind off. You can also sew the ends together, squaring the ends together.
DeleteI apologize. I meant the side seam, not the bottom. Thank you again for taking the time to answer my questions.
DeleteLove this purse pattern but would also like to see more detailed steps as to the working of the bind off.
ReplyDeleteAny ideas for pillows and possibly a clutch purse pattern for eveing wear in the near future? Would love to have something like this for Christmas.
Thank you again for this great pattern.
Adrienne
Yes, Milly said she could definitely do a pillow pattern and will see about a clutch purse pattern in the future. Thank you for your suggestions!
DeleteOh, thank you soooooooooooooooo much for coming up with new patterns. I will stay tuned for ALL upcoming patterns. Milly is the greatest!
Deleteare there any measurements? did I just overlook them? sorry and thanks
ReplyDeleteThe bag itself measures 8" x 8" x 1" and then the handles can be at whatever length you desire.
