DIY Upcycle Event in Bonney Lake

Saturday May 4, 2016 - 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
We have some great ideas to renew old items.

Fee for all projects: $55 includes all supplies. (if you wish to bring your own supplies, call store at 253-862-6822 to register for $30 and check what supplies are required)

We are celebrating our Earth and teaching you some great techniques as well. We will help you know what great things you can buy for cheep during garage sale season, then restore to something beautiful and of your own style, for just a few dollars.

Event Details:

• S
tarting at 10am through 1:30pm, you can learn to refinish a painted frame. Then, pick from our available chalky finish paint colors and learn how to repurpose your old wood products.• At 11am to 12:30pm, we will be transforming a Mason Jar into a thing of beauty using alcohol inks.• Also starting at 11am, but going until 2pm, will be creating cardboard journals into a wonderful journal or album using our repurposed paper, twine, ribbon, etc.• From 1pm to 2:30 pm will be aluminum can jewelry lessons. We will have the cans partially cut for you, but you will learn to make the material so beautiful, no one will know it is a pop can!

• At 2:30, you can start learning how to make a simple slip pillow cover for a 12 x 12 pillow. The skills learned will be simple sewing with our machines, the wonder of Wonder Under, and how to die cut your favorite shape out of fabric and adhere it to your new pillow.

• The last class is really fun. From 3 - 5pm, just pick out one of our solid color t-shirts and create a fun fashion scarf. These are popular all over the place, sold as shred scarves and selling for $15 to $40! You can make your own for almost nothing.

Each of these classes can be taken individually, but you will save money by purchasing them as a block. Register in the store if you want to register for individual classes, or bring your own supplies for a $25 class fee markdown. 253-862-6822
