1 Million Pillowcase Challenge

The 1 Million Pillowcase Challenge is a project started by American Patchwork and Quilting as a way to help those in need.

If you're looking for a way to give back, this may be the project for you. All you need is fabric and a sewing machine to sew or embroider cheerful pillowcases for children undergoing treatment at Mary Bridge Children's Hospital.

There are three places you can drop off your handmade pillowcases:

  • The Fabric department in our store
  • Mary Bridge Children's Hospital
  • Sewing & Stitchery Expo

The Sewing & Stitchery Expo, at the Puyallup Fairgrounds from February 28th through March 3rd, will also be collecting handmade pillowcases for Mary Bridge Children's Hospital.

Mary Bridge Children's Hospital is one of the places we selected to donate to, but you can also donate pillowcases to other foundations and charities, such as women's shelters, nursing homes, etc. of your choice.

Need a pillowcase pattern? You can find free ones here.

Need fabric? We carry a large selection of high quality fabrics from fun to whimsical and colorful to elegant in our Fabrics department.

Interested in learning how to sew? We offer our Sew, Stitch and Quilt classes every Tuesday and Thursday. No sewing experience is necessary as this class is designed for all experience levels from beginners to advanced. Check out our calendar of classes here.
