DIY Painted Photo Canvas

Christy made this project with a photo printed on vellum and ink on a canvas.



Supplies:
1 canvas
1 photocopy on heavy-weight vellum
Ranger multi-medium
Liquitex Blue Ink

Instructions:
Tear vellum around picture.
Coat cavas with gel medium
Put picture down
Coat top with gel medium
Let it wrinkle
Make sure all edges are adhered down
With a 1inch flat brush, dip in a small amount of ink. Coat canvas edges.
Pull ink in toward photo, brushing some over the torn edges all the way around.

Optional: rub photo's wrinkle ridges, edges of photo, and edges of canvas with sand paper to distress.
