Make These Easy Easter Cupcakes

The trend of cake, cookie and cupcake decorating is still going strong. The creativity we see all over Pinterest and other social media is amazing. If you are a fan, but think that it is not something you can do, think again. We know a secret... fondant is easy to use!

Bake your favorite cupcake recipe or boxed flavor per instructions and allow to cool.  Sprinkle some cornstarch on a smooth surface or baking mat to keep fondant from sticking. Now, open your box or package of Satin Ice Fondant and knead until it is easy to bend. Roll out until it is 1/8 inch thickness. Use cookie cutters or our brand new PME Shaped Cutters to make shapes. Add a small amount of frosting to the top of the cupcake and place your fondant shapes on top. The frosting will hold the fondant in place.

Watch this video to see how to knead the fondant correctly.

Our new Satin Ice Fondant comes in white in the large 1 lb box or individual 4 oz colored packages. With the exception of the brown (which is chocolate flavored), all of the fondant colors are vanilla flavored and taste really good.
