For the past 17 years, whenever I would tell James I love him, he always comes back with, "I love you more." We would go back and forth saying, "No, I love you more."
We've even come up with silly games about trying to tell each other who loves who more. I will start off with the word "I" and James will say "love," then I'll say, "you," then he'll say, "more." I'll keep the sentence going to try to get the last word in.
It's so silly, but it makes us laugh.

Ever since I got my tablet, I like to sit next to him and look at Pinterest. I would get so excited to show him all of these cool things on there, and then joke with him by telling him he really needs a Pinterest account.
Well, one day after work, he was telling me about this t-shirt rug that he saw online that he wanted to make. I asked which website did he get the idea from, and he said, "Uh, you know...just some website." I laughed because I just knew it was Pinterest!

He asked me if I wanted my gift a little early since it was two days before Valentines Day, so I said yes. He gave it to me and I fell in love with it!
He framed the words "Love You More" in Scrabble form because it's one of our favorite games to play.
Sure enough, my husband did create a Pinterest account for himself because this is where he found the idea for my Valentine's Day gift.
He sprayed little wooden letters with textured black paint. After they were dried, he glued them onto white card stock, and placed the card stock into the frame.
I'll tell you, after almost 18 years together, I feel like such a lucky girl that we have so much love and romance between each other after all these years. He's such an awesome guy!

Isn't that the cutest story, ever? It goes to show that a gift made from the heart is worth more than what money can buy.
And that guys can be crafty, too!
What a thoughtful gift! Even more so that James made this for Heidi.
ReplyDeleteThe story just makes your heart melt, doesn't it? It's just the sweetest sentiment.
