Knitting 101: How to Block Knitting

What is blocking?

Blocking is a method for stretching and easing stitches in a finished knit. The purpose of blocking is to:

  • Straighten edges, reduce curling
  • Adjust the shape of a finished garment
  • Decrease slight variations in length or width between two matching pieces

In this video, Milly will explain her thoughts on blocking and show you how to block a scarf.

Don't forget to join Milly for "A Sip of Tea and Taste of Cascade" Saturday, January 28, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
