Crafty Cookbook: Lil' Smokies Recipe

Today is the last day of the Northwest Paper Chase 2012! Were you able to collect all the recipe pages for the Crafty Cookbook?

Supplies

  • 6" x 6" Each of Yellow, Brown, and Light Blue Card Stock
  • 6" x 6" of Blue Utensil Paper
  • 6" x 6" of Oven Mitt Paper
  • 1 "Sweet Lil' Smokies" Recipe
  • 2 Each of Yellow and Red Oven Mitt Die Cuts
  • 1 Each of Spatula and Wooden Spoon Die Cuts
  • 6" of Lace and Ribbon
  • Paper Trimmer
  • Scissors
  • Adhesive

  1. Trim the Blue Utensil paper to 5 3/4" x 5 3/4" and glue it to the yellow card stock.
  2. Trim the Oven Mitt paper to 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" and glue it to the Blue Utensil paper.
  3. Trim the brown card stock to 4" x 4 3/4" and round the corners.
  4. Trim the recipe to fit onto the brown card stock and round corners.
  5. Glue the recipe to the brown card stock using foam mounting squares.
  6. Glue the lace to the top of the page, then glue the ribbon on top of the lace.
  7. Trim a small piece of the red oven mitts to make a band for the yellow oven mitts.
  8. Adhere the oven mitts to each side of the recipe using foam mounting squares.

Supplies

  • 6" x 6" Each of Yellow Card Stock
  • 6" x 6" Blue Utensil Paper
  • 6" of Lace and Ribbon
  • Paper Trimmer
  • Scissors
  • Adhesive

  1. Trim the Blue Utensil paper to 5 3/4" x 5 3/4" and glue it to the yellow card stock.
  2. Glue lace to the top of the page, then glue the ribbon to the top of the lace.
  3. Cut the Cooking Strips paper into strips.
  4. Cut notches at the ends of the ones you want to use and glue them in any order onto the blue cooking utensil paper.
  5. Embellish as you like.

Ingredients

  • 1 Pkg of Lil' Smokies
  • 1 Pkg of Crescent Rolls
  • 1 Stick of Butter
  • 3 Tablespoons Honey
  • 3 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
  • Pecans

Instructions

  1. Cut the crescent triangles into thirds.
  2. Roll Lil' Smokies into each triangle.
  3. Combine butter, honey, and brown sugar in a saucepan. Cook to boil while mixing.
  4. Add pecans and stir to coat.
  5. Pour mixture into the bottom of the baking pan.
  6. Lay each Lil' Smokie crescent roll on top of the mixture.
  7. Bake at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
  8. Once done, remove from the oven and let cool. The mixture will be thick and very hot.
