Design Your Own Robot

We have this darling ready-to-decorate robot from Kaisercraft, which would be a fun project to do with your child. The robot comes ready-to-decorate with the gears, eyes, and ECG pulse (that wave going across his chest).

Billie Jo decided to recreate the robot that is shown on the package and here is her version.

Crafted by Billie Jo.

The materials she used for the robot are:

  • Card Stock
  • Acrylic Paint
  • Embossing Folders
  • Glossy Accents
  • Mod Podge
  • Foam Brush
  • Scissors

Billie Jo applied acrylic paint to certain areas of the robot, such as the key on the top of the head, eye area, arms, and legs. She embossed card stock with a gear design and used Mod Podge to adhere it to the head, body, elbows, hands, and feet.

She painted the eyes and gears, then applied Glossy Accents to give it a dimensional sheen. Scribbles 3D Paint Pens were used to create a dot design on the legs.

What robot would be complete if it didn't have an iPod? The iPod doesn't come with the robot, but Billie Jo couldn't resist adding it. She painted the iPod, then again, applied Glossy Accents over the top.

This robot would be adorable to hang in your child's room, especially with a frame around it.
