D.I.Y. Terra Cotta Candy Dish

Turn a terra cotta pot into a fun and fancy way to display candy!

Supplies

  • Terra Cotta Pot with Saucer
  • Small Glass Globe or Bowl
  • Acrylic Paint
  • Washi Tape
  • Wooden Ball Knob
  • E-6000
  • Scissors
  • Foam Brush
 
  1. Using the foam brush, apply paint to the terra cotta pot, saucer, and knob in the color(s) of your choice.
  2. Set them aside to let dry.
  3. Wash the glass globe or bowl and dry.
  4. Place the terra cotta pot upside down onto a flat surface and apply E-6000 to the bottom of the glass globe or bowl to adhere it to the terra cotta pot.
  5. Set it aside to let dry.
  6. Place the saucer upside onto a flat surface and apply E-6000 to the wooden ball knob to adhere it to the middle of the saucer to make the lid.
  7. Set it aside to let dry.
  8. Add embellishments to the terra cotta pot and saucer, such as stickers, washi tape, glitter, etc.
  9. Once done, add the candy and place the "lid" on top of the glass globe or bowl.

  1. I did one of the candy jars, but my lid did not look right. What size did you use for the top of the bowl.

  2. We used a small pot and lid. Just pick a pot that is slightly larger than the bowl and choose a saucer that fits it.
