Stencil Canvas Art

Stencils are a quick and easy way to design art on canvas!

Crafted by Billie Jo.

Supplies

  • Canvas
  • Stencil
  • Paint
  • Foam Brush
  • Painter's Tape

For this project, Billie Jo used Montana Gold Spray Paint and a stencil by The Crafter's Workshop.

  1. You can either paint with a foam brush or spray paint the color of your choice onto the canvas.
  2. Set it aside to let dry.
  3. Once dry, you can secure the stencil by taping it to the sides of the canvas or hold it steady with your hand (if painting it with a foam brush or sponge).
  4. Set it aside to let dry.

Creative Tip! You can layer various stencils and tape sections of the canvas off for a striking look. Don't be afraid to add various textures and elements to the canvas, such as fabric, ribbon, embellishments, etc. to create multi-media art.

Now, it's ready to hang!
