DIY Seahawks Crocheted Baby Hat

This hat is so cute and looks even better on this adorable baby. We asked a customer in our store if she would allow her baby to model our new Seahawks baby hat that Gina made for our store display.

Seahawks Crocheted Baby Hat

Supplies:

  • Patons Canadiana White, Navy and Lime Juice Yarn
  • Hook Size G
Directions:
Yarn: Patons Canadiana White, Navy, and Lime Juice. Hook size G.
Ch 8, sl st in first chain to form a ring.
Row 1 - Ch 2, 9 dc in ring, join to first dc with sl st.
Row 2 - Ch 2, 2 dc in each dc, join to first dc with sl st.
Row 3 - Ch 2, *2 dc in next dc, 1 dc in next dc, repeat from * around. Join to first dc with sl st.
Row 4 - Ch 2, *2 dc in next dc, 1 dc in next 2 dc, repeat from * around. Join to first dc with sl st.
Row 5 - Change color. Ch 2, *2 dc in next dc, 1 dc in next 3 dc, repeat from * around. Join to first dc
with sl st.
Row 6 - Change color. Ch 2, *2 dc in next dc, 1 dc in next 4 dc, repeat from * around. Join to first dc
with sl st.
Row 7 - Change color. Ch 2, dc in each dc around. Join to first dc with sl st.
Row 8 & 9 - Repeat Row 7.
Row 10 - Change color. Ch 2, dc in each dc around. Join to first dc with sl st.
Row 11 - Change color. Ch 2, dc in each dc around. Join to first dc with sl st.
Flower
There are two flowers layered on top of each other.
Flower 1 (Top)
Chain 5, sl st in first chain to form a ring
Row 1 - Ch 4, SC in ring
Row 2 - Ch 2, SC in ring, 3 times, join with a slip stitch to first ch.
This will make 5 loops to work with, one per petal
Row 3 - Into first (of 5) loop space: *SC, ch 1, 2 DC, ch 1, SC, rep from * into each loop.
Flower 2 (Under flower 1)
Chain 5, sl st in first chain to form a irng
Row 1 - Ch 4, SC in ring
Row 2 - Ch 2, SC in ring, 3 times, join with a slip stitch to first ch.
This will make 5 loops to work with, one per petal
Row 3 - Into first (of 5) loop space: *SC, ch 1, DC, ch 1, TC, ch 1, DC, ch 1, SC, rep from * into each
loop.
(For Boy’s hat, remove flower.)
