Give the gift of cookie mix in a Mason jar. The festive decorations can be added to make a wonderful Christmas gift that is enjoyed by all. We added a Christmas recipe card and a cookie cutter decorated with holiday paper. The cookie cutter can be added without the paper and is a great usable gift, too.
Coconut Chocolate Chip Cookies
3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar1/2 cup sugar
1 cup shortening
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
1 3/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
6 oz. coconut
6 oz. chocolate chips
Heat oven to 375 degrees.
In large bowl, mix brown sugar, sugar and shortening until light and fluffy.
Add vanilla and egg and mix well.
Add flour, salt, baking soda and mix well.
Stir in coconut and chocolate chips.
Drop by spoonful on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 8 - 10 minutes until golden brown.
Decorate A Cookie Cutter
Trace the cookie cutter shape on Christmas scrapbook paper.Cut out the shape.
Now trace the top of the boot on a different paper.
Glue the boot top paper to the other cut out paper and let dry.
Glue paper to the back of the cookie cutter.
