DIY Hand Painted Garden Sign

It's not too late to make an adorable garden sign like this one. By now your garden should be growing nicely, and we still have the whole month of August to enjoy it.

Supplies:
Small Stakes, Unfinished Wood
Unfinished Wood Pole/Stake
DecoArt Vintage Effect Wash, White
Americana Decor Creme Wax, Brown
Letter Stencils
Posca Paint Pens

Instructions:
Paint the wood pieces with the white DecoArt Vintage Effect Wash.
Set aside to dry.
Using the letter stencils and a fine tip POSCA pen, outline the letters for your garden vegetables.
Color in the letters with a colored pen, or leave blank if you wish.
Now draw the vegetables on the boards with a black POSCA pen. (search for drawings online if you need a bit of help. You can use transfer paper to get the image on the boards if you wish.)
Color the drawings with a colored POSCA pen.
Using the brown wax, wipe on each board and then wipe back off to get the desired coloring you want.
Now you can either glue the stakes on the pole, or screw them in from the back if you want a sturdy sign.
