Today is National Mom and Pop Business Owners Day and we thought
we would share our story of how it all began.
Here's our story…
In 1975, Adrian Sr. and his young family moved to Monroe and
opened a new family retail business, the Ben Franklin Crafts and Frame Shop
store. Adrian, his wife DeAnna, son Adrian and daughter Tracy worked together
and became an important part of their community. After 44 years, the Monroe
store continues to offer great customer service and traditional and trending
art and crafts.
Adrian C. grew up working in his parents store, learning the
craft store business and the importance of community involvement. He bought the
Bonney Lake store in 1989 and settled in to build a business with his family.
His store has provided arts and crafts in addition to employment to Bonney Lake
for 30 years. As a local business owner, Adrian knows the importance of being
active in his community, and while his kids are now grown, his involvement
continues in schools and charities.
His parents, now retired, continue their involvement in the
Monroe store, and Adrian now oversees the management of both stores.
