How to Make a Flower Headband

These headbands are easy to make and perfect way to dress up your hair.

Supplies

  • Elastic Headband
  • Artificial Flowers
  • 3/8" Sheer Ribbon
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Scissors

1.  Depending on the type of stem, you can either pull the flower off or cut it.

2.  You want to make sure that the bottom of the flower is flat by cutting off anything that sticks out.

Select ribbon that will color coordinate with your hair so that it will blend into your hair.

3.  Cut a 6" strip of sheer ribbon.
4.  Plug in your hot glue gun and turn the flower over.
5.  Place a small amount of glue onto the center (backside) of the flower.
6.  Hold both ends of the sheer ribbon and press it firmly into the glue. The glue will soak through the ribbon giving it good adhesion.

7.  Set aside and let the glue completely dry.
8.  After the glue is dry, tie the flower(s) in a single or double knot onto the headband.

We suggest not tying it too tight so that you can interchange the flowers and change the placement of the flowers when wearing.

You can custom design your flowers by:

  • Gluing glitter or rhinestones to certain areas of the flower
  • Dyeing or spray painting the flowers to a different color

With our large selection of beautiful flowers, it will be easy to find yourself making several headbands to coordinate with all your outfits!
