Father's Day is June 17, 2012...do you have an idea of what you'll be getting your dad?
Sure, you can always buy your dad a gift, but what about one that's especially made just for him?
Here are ideas that would make great Father's Day gifts for your dad.
Redneck Wine Glass
Create dad a fun drink glass by gluing a mason jar and a candlestick holder together with E-6000.
Decorate the mason jar with adornments, likes nuts and bolts, camouflage fabric, and any other items that would appeal to your dad. Then, turn the mason jar lid into a coaster by gluing the ring and seal together, then adhere cork to the top of the lid.
Coasters
"I ruff you, dad" is the cutest, isn't it? You can find ready-to-decorate wooden coasters and use Mod Podge to glue and seal the paper and photos to the coasters. Write the words out with a paintbrush, marker or you could even die-cut letters and glue them on.
These are laser engraved natural cork coasters by GrafixMat and there are several different styles to select from to make a 4-coaster set.
You can turn the coasters into wall art by mounting them onto a board and inserting them into a coordinating frame, such as the Barnwood.
Apron
Does your dad love to barbecue on the grill? Pick out a fabric that best suits your dad's style and use a pattern to sew it for him!
A Picture Frame Just for Dad
You know those large wooden letters you find in stores to spell out your child's name for their room? Well, you can also use them to create a really cool picture frame by gluing photos to the back of the letters after you've decorated them. Glue them standing onto a base to display on a fireplace mantle, or lay them flat to hang on the wall.
A Treasured Keepsake for Dad
Cut out words with their definitions that best describe your dad and use them to decorate the top of a box wooden box.
Then, gather a special collection of photos, noting the moments of each photo, to place them inside the box. This sentimental gift will allow your dad to treasure those memories for a lifetime.
No matter what you decide to get your dad, we all know that Father's Day is celebrated every day.
