Milly's Folly Bracelet

Nancy, our fabulous Beads Department Manager, created a bangle style bracelet called the "Milly's Folly Bracelet" using a combination of Tila™ beads and seed beads.

Crafted by Nancy.

Supplies

  • 1 Tube Tila™ Beads or any Two Hole Beads
  • 1 Tube Size 11 Seed Beads
  • 1 Strand Size 3-4 Crystals
  • Clasp
  • Fireline B
  • Size 12 Needle or Easy Eye Needle
  • Bead Mat and Pins (Optional)

All supplies for this project can be found at our Bonney Lake store.

Step 1: String 3 yards of thread and tie to one end of your clasp and string 4 seed beads.

Step 2: String 2 Tila beads, 6 seed beads, 1 crystal and 6 seed beads. Snug up the beads to your 4 seed beads and go through the Tila beads again in the same direction as before, going through the same hole as before. This will form a loop with the open hole of the Tila bead on the left side of the bracelet. You want to keep the open hole of the Tila beads on the left side of the bracelet at all times.

Step 3: String on a Tila bead, 6 seed beads, 1 crystal and 6 seed beads. Snug the beads to the bracelet and go back through the last 2 Tila beads in the same direction and through the same hole as before. Continue on for 26 Tila beads.

Step 4: String 4 seed beads and the other end of the clasp. Tie off string and start with 3 yards of Fireline from the clasp. Turn the bracelet around to sew from the other end. Pin it to the mat on both ends. String 4 seed beads, then 2 Tila beads and 6 seed beads. Go through the crystal closest to the clasp and string 6 seed beads. Sew through the Tila beads in the same direction and through the same hole. Again, the empty Tila hole will sit on the left side of the bracelet until later.

Step 5: String 1 Tila bead and 6 seed beads and through the next loop's crystal. String 6 seed beads and sew the second Tila bead, going the same direction as before and through the same hole.

Step 6: Continue on until you have reached the end of the Tila beads. String 4 seed beads and go through the clasp. String 4 seed beads and sew through the outside holes of the Tila beads. Continue through the clasp at the other end and through the other side's Tila beads until you have gone through the outside holes twice. Tie off and now wear your creation!
