D.I.Y. Frankenstein Canvas

Here is a fun project your family can make together for Halloween!

Crafted by Melody.

Supplies

  • Canvas
  • Foam Sheet in Black
  • Foam Sheet in White
  • Small Wooden Knobs
  • Googly Eyes
  • Acrylic Paint
  • Sharpie
  • Adhesive
  • Scissors
  • Foam Brush

1.  Using the foam brush, apply paint to the entire canvas, including the sides.
2.  Set it aside to let dry.
3.  Use scissors to cut a strip that is the width of the canvas and about 2" high. Then, cut jagged edges on the bottom edge for hair.
4.  Use the scissors to cut a strip for the eyebrow.
5.  Lay out the hair, eyebrow and eyes and then begin gluing them on.
6.  Use a Sharpie to draw the stitch that goes across his forehead, then draw his nose, mouth and the stitch below his mouth.

7.  Dampen the foam brush and a touch of red or pink to make his cheeks.
8.  Use the foam brush to paint the knobs in the color of your choice and set them aside to dry.
9.  Once dry, glue one to each side of the canvas.
10.  Cut a small tooth shape from the white foam and glue it onto his mouth.

Let everything dry before displaying.
