DIY Christmas Star Decor

The Christmas star is an easy project you can create in an evening for a fresh new decor piece.

Paint the inside of your unfinished star with grey acrylic paint and allow to dry. You can paint the outside or leave it plain wood for a nice contrast.
Pick a Christmas paper that you like and trace the star on it. You'll have to cut it about 1/4"-1/2" smaller to make it fit inside. Use Mod Podge to glue the paper inside and apply a top coat of Mod Podge to protect and seal the paper. Let dry completely.

Attach the "Merry Christmas" banner so it hangs in front of the star. (you can staple the string ends to the back to hold it in place or use thumbtacks). Glue the ornaments in place with hot glue to keep them from moving. Glue snowflakes to the inside of the star. We glued a mini cardinal to the top to add a touch of life to our project!
