DIY Snow Wall Art

The winter may not bring us any snow, but you can create your own "snow" decor. This easy project can be done in an afternoon and is great for all beginners and advanced crafters.

You'll start by painting the frame and the letters with the Americana Decor Chalky Finish Paint. You'll only need 1 coat. No need to paint the inside of the frame since you'll cover that with paper. Let it dry completely.

Use Mod Podge to adhere the paper to the inside of the frame. Let dry. If you're not familiar with this technique, check out this video with Bonnie where she shows you how easy it is to use Mod Podge to glue and seal your paper: https://youtu.be/GzjwqjzXv40

Once you have the frame and letters painted and the paper glued in place, it's time to attach the letters. Apply glue on the back side of each letter and place into the frame. You'll have to wiggle the letters a bit to make them all fit tightly together. You may want to lay the frame flat and put some kind of weight over it to make sure the letters are touching evenly the back frame during the drying process. A book would do the trick.

Once that's dry, you can glue the snowflake garland on the border of the frame. That's it! You can hang your frame, or place it on a mantel with an easel, or place it on a table and lean it against the wall for a casual look.
