Make Spooky Spell Books for Halloween

Supplies:
Paper Mache Books - Small, Medium and Large
Wooden Halloween Script Words
Button Plugs, 1/2 inch
Plastic Spiders
Paper Accents Halloween Embellishments
Tissue Paper
Mod Podge
Americana Decor Acrylic Paint, Steel Gray & Black
Medium Stain
Hot Glue Gun

Directions:
Place the Halloween script words on each book cover and glue in place.
Glue any Halloween embellishment you are using down next.
We created a spider web on the large book by drawing lines with a hot glue gun.
Now glue down the Button plugs.
Allow books to dry completely.
Spread Mod Podge on each book cover and put white tissue paper over the books pressing it into the crevices. (Do one at a time for best results)
Spread Mod Podge on the top of the tissue paper to seal and allow to dry.
Paint each book with gray acrylic paint and let dry.
Mix medium stain and black acrylic paint, apply to book with a dry brush method.
(Dry brush method: dab paint brush in paint and then brush off on a paper towel before brushing on book.)The dry brush method will give the book shadows and definition.
