Things I used that I had
in my craft stash:

Big Shot
Machine to use embossing folder
(or machine you have that can emboss with)
·
Banner
Punch Board for the front printed
& spun gold cardstocks (I use this punch
board all the time...it's a GREAT investment...it makes 3 different
banner styles...that said, if you are not ready to invest in this yet, I would
suggest making a template that you can trace on each piece and cut out by hand
·
Paper Cutter...I have more than one of these...use them ALL the
time, but you can use a ruler, pencil and scissors & get the job done if
you must
·
Corner
Rounder...A simple punch that
rounds corners for you...use it SO often!
·
Inks to color the maple leaves (red, yellow, orange,
and green)....you could just as easily use markers, colored pencils, or
paints...check your stash!
·
Crop-a-dile (it is a hole punch and eyelet setter that is a
GREAT investment. I use mine A LOT. The beauty of it is that you can punch through
so many more surfaces with it...seriously...aluminum cans, thick chipboard, and
it doesn't hurt your hand!!!...you can use a regular hole punch if that is what
you have on hand)

Scissors
·
Adhesive (I used scor tape, my tape runner, and pop up foam
pcs.)
·
Stickles (I used a very tiny amount of platinum stickles on
the leaves)
·
Gold nylon
ribbon (check your ribbon stash!)
This is what you do:
·
Take a picture
of the banner on your phone.. easier to see & follow along this way
·
Front banner,
cut:
2 pcs. Fall Forest (using plaid
side up) 3 5/8 x 8 ¼
2 pcs. , same measurement,
Fall Foliage (using 1 red side up, 1
striped side up)
1 pc. each, same
measurement, Cozy Fall (plaid side up) and Family Time (orange
side up)
Brown 12 x 12 cardstock to 6
pcs. that are each 3 ¼ x 6
inches
Spun Gold cardstock to 6 pcs.
that are each 3 3/8 x 7 inches
Journaling cards (DO NOT cut
them all out as you will use the other side of this
paper on the back
side of the banner in a larger size than the smaller journal
cards)... 1. the
owl plaid in an oval, 2. Feels like fall, 3. Autum leaves and
pumpkins please, 4.
Autumn Pumpkins Falling leaves Harvest time, 5. Pumpkin
spice and
everything nice, and 6. hello Autumn

Emboss the
spun gold pieces using the Echo Park Happy Fall embossing folder
·
Banner cut
bottoms of appropriate pieces, refer to your photo
·
Corner round
appropriate pieces, refer to your photo
·
Adhere your
pieces, refer to your photo...the brown cardstock is “offset”...it does not
make a “border” all the way around your spun gold embossed piece. I left about ¼ ' rim on the left side and
them lined up my un-bordered right side with the right side of my ivory album
tag.
·
Stick on the
enamel phrases in appropriate places, refer to photo
·
Adhere journal cards in appropriate places, using
pop up foam pieces, refer to photo
·
Color your
leaves on both sides with your choice of media...add stickles if desired, set
aside to dry if needed
·
Hole punch
your album tags on each side, refer to photo
·
Hole punch
your leaves, one hole to each leaf, refer to photo (I didn't always punch the
same spot on the leaves)
·
Cut your gold
nylon ribbon(or ribbon you have on hand) to about 9 feet, no I didn't measure
exactly by looking at it, that seems about right. This allows for a couple feet on both ends of
the banner so that you can have enough to hang the banner up. Leave more if
desired. Feed the ribbon from the front
side so that the ribbon is on the back side of the banner, leaving about 1” to
1 ½ “ in between ivory tags and making sure to do one leaf in between for the
middle dangling leaf part. ( I connected the rest of the leaves to the first
one after this step using my gold nylon ribbon)

Connect the
rest of the leaves where they go, refer to photo
·
Cut your ribbon into 14 pieces fairly
equal in length...if I did my math correctly, they would be about 7 ½ “
each....just sayin'...if..... The fun
stuff about this ribbon is that it curls when you use your scissors like you do
with any curling ribbon! Tie and curl where they go...you got it...refer to
photo....

Back banner,
cut 6 pieces from your left-over cut printed cardstocks to 3”x7” pcs.; and
adhere
·
Hang up and
