Creating a Marbled Look with Alcohol Ink

Our previous post about Adirondack Alcohol Ink was a tutorial on how to color items such as a glass vase and artificial flowers.

Now, we are going to show you how to use alcohol ink to create a marbled look on a ceramic votive holder.

Crafted by Joy.

Supplies

  • Adirondack Alcohol Ink
  • White Ceramic Votive Holder
  • Tim Holtz Foam Applicator
  • Inkssentials Non-Stick Craft Mat

All supplies used for this project can be found at our Bonney Lake store.

1.  Apply two or more colors of alcohol ink onto the foam applicator.
2.  Use a tapping action to apply the color to the votive holder. Do not swipe or paint it with the foam applicator. The tapping action will create the unique pattern of colors.

3.  Once done, set aside and let dry.
That's it! Wasn't that easy?

You can leave the votive holder as is to show off the marble design or add embellishments.

You can watch Joy demonstrate how to create a marbled look using alcohol ink.
