Craft Projects for Organization

Here are a few handy projects to help you stay neat and organized around your home or office.

Clothespin Memo and Recipe Holder

Take a giant clothespin and paint it to match or coordinate with your home or kitchen decor. Add a few fun embellishments using a good gripping adhesive. This clothespin holder is great for holding recipes as you are cooking in the kitchen, memos and notes for reminders, and it is also a cute way to display photos in your home or office.

Memo and Recipe Board

Paint your base and embellishment to your liking. Give that metal sheet a fabulous makeover by using Mod Podge to adhere paper to it. Then, make some fun magnets, which you can learn here, to display notes, recipes and photos.

Coaster Set

Paint the outside and inside of the coaster holder in a color that you desire or to match your home decor. When painting the coasters, you can certainly paint each coaster in a different color, all the same color and even paint patterns or designs onto them. A great way to design your coasters is to use patterned scrapbooking paper. Measure and cut the paper to fit the top of the coaster and glue it on using Mod Podge. Don't forget to seal your designs (and waterproof it) by applying a thin coat of Mod Podge on top of every coaster when you are done designing them.

The wonderful thing about these is being able to customize a one-of-a-kind item that suits your home and reflects your personality.
