DIY Color Tint Jewelry

Did you know you can color your silver jewelry?  Nancy started with a silver Steampunk peacock and colored it to create a vivid look. This is a great way to create one of a kind statement jewelry pieces. All you need is a few basic materials, most of which can be found in the bead department.

Supplies:
Steampunk Jewelry
Alcohol Inks
Metal Sealer Glaze
Dauber
Buffer

Directions:
Remove the jewlery piece from package and place on a mat or some paper to protect your working space. (The ink may stain if it bleeds through.)
Open ink and dab on small areas of the peacock. You can apply a variety of colors. Then use the dauber to blot the ink.
After you are completely happy with the amount of ink on your peacock, set aside to dry. This should only take 10 minutes or so.
Next take the buffer and gently rub the surface of the metal to buff off some of the ink.
Finally you will apply a small amount of the sealer glaze. Allow to dry completely.
Add the chain and your necklace is ready to wear.
