Hemp Twine Easter Eggs

It is amazing to me that a few embellishments can completely change the look of your craft. I wrapped these wooden eggs with a hemp twine. By leaving the eggs plain, I created a rustic and natural look. Then I added lace and ribbon, and the result was shabby chic styled eggs.

Which style of egg do you like best?

Supplies:
3 Unfinished Wood Eggs
One Roll Hemp Twine
Glue Gun
Optional Supplies:
Ribbon
Lace

Directions:
Tie the end of the twine in a loose knot.
Now apply a small amount of glue to the center of the egg at the bottom.
Press the twine into the glue and hold for a second until it sticks.
Apply a small amount of glue all the way around the twine and carefully turn the egg while pressing the twine into the glue.
You will continue to apply glue and turn while pressing twine down until the entire egg is covered.

Now you can decide if the egg is finished, or if you want to embellish the egg with ribbons and lace. These eggs can be added to a nest of twigs and flowers with a moss covered bird for a fresh spring decoration that would look great on a coffee table or mantle.
